1. Never fail to remove the key from the chuck after the chuck has been
tightened with the key |

and before the drill is switched on. |

2. Before the chuck is mounted to the machine spindle or to the arbor, the
tapers of both must |

be thoroughly cleaned; after, they should be pressed together firmly. |
|
|
|
3. Never apply extensions of any kind to chuck key handles. |
|
|
|
|
4. Do not subject chuck key handles to hammering or other impact blows. |
